The Cleveland Browns traded for quarterback Kenny Pickett back in March, and the University of Pittsburgh product looks like a real candidate to start Week 1.

Pickett was drafted in the first round of the 2022 NFL Draft by the Browns' division-rival Pittsburgh Steelers before being traded to the Philadelphia Eagles ahead of the 2024 season after Pittsburgh signed Russell Wilson. Pickett was asked about his time in Philadelphia, and his answer had clear and obvious passive aggression toward the Steelers.

“I’m extremely grateful for my time in Philly,” Pickett said. “I think I was shown how it’s supposed to be done, really from the top down. When you get a chance to see what it’s supposed to look like and how it should look, on a day-to-day basis, not just on Sundays, I think that’ll pay dividends.”

It's pretty clear Pickett was throwing some shade at how the Steelers, which will make things very interesting if he ends up being the starter when the Browns face Pittsburgh.
