The Cleveland Browns have an intriguing potential quarterback depth chart of the future.

That's what happens when you take two QBs in the same NFL Draft: Dillon Gabriel in the third round and Shedeur Sanders in the fifth.

A former NFL GM, Scot McCloughan (San Francisco and Washington), thinks he knows how this will play out.

McCloughan predicted that Sanders will end up as the "best quarterback" in his entire draft class.

As for Gabriel?

"I see him as a No. 2 for life. At best," McCloughan said on 92.3 The Fan. "And in the third round, that's fine... I see him as a really good college quarterback. I see him as an average NFL quarterback."

It would certainly be an ironic outcome based solely on their draft status.

But no one went into the 2025 NFL Draft thinking Gabriel would go before Sanders, so maybe that'd be the quarterback gods righting the universe back into place.

There could be controversy down the road between these two rookies out of the same draft class, or it could all fall into place nicely.

The Browns certainly gave themselves an extra chance at solving their franchise's long-term quarterback woes.
