The Cleveland Browns have had a lot of quarterbacks under center over the years.

Most recently, they tried developing two rookies, Dillon Gabriel and Shedeur Sanders, with mixed results. But neither were selected in the first round, with Gabriel getting picked in the third and Sanders in the fifth.

With Cleveland expected to land a top pick in the 2026 NFL Draft, could they select another quarterback to throw into their room of youngsters?

Browns predicted to trade up and select Oregon's Dante Moore

In ESPN analyst Matt Miller's latest mock draft, he has the Browns trading up with the New York Giants to the No. 2 overall pick and selecting Oregon's Dante Moore.

"The Browns' many attempts to find a franchise quarterback have failed, so it's back to the drawing board. Moore started five games at UCLA in 2023 before transferring to Oregon and sitting behind Dillon Gabriel -- whom he'd actually be replacing here -- in 2024. Moore has played with poise and touch this season, completing 72.8% of his passes for 2,190 yards and 21 touchdowns to five interceptions while showing great arm talent," wrote Miller.

"He isn't a shoo-in to declare for 2026, given his limited experience (15 starts), but Moore's penchant for making tough throws from muddy pockets would fit in Cleveland. Moore alone wouldn't be a quick fix, but matching him with RB Quinshon Judkins and TE Harold Fannin Jr. Would give the Browns a young, high-energy offense."

In this draft scenario, the Browns would dip back into the Oregon quarterback well and grab Moore, who as Miller mentioned, isn't a lock to come out for the draft in 2026.

But if he does, his skills and physical ability would be too tempting for a team like Cleveland to pass up, and could finally be a remedy to their longstanding quarterback woes.
