The Cleveland Browns are in dire need of wide receiver help this offseason. Andrew Berry needs to work some magic and bring in at least one wide receiver to help the offense.

Whether it's to improve Shedeur Sanders' offense for 2026 or a new quarterback taken in the 2027 NFL Draft, a wide receiver this offseason is a must-have for Cleveland.

ESPN's Jeremy Fowler linked the Browns to the AJ Brown of the Philadelphia Eagles for a potential blockbuster. But, how much would it actually cost to land Brown in a trade?

How much would it cost the Browns to trade for AJ Brown?

Johnny McGonigal of pennlive.com also linked the Browns to Brown for a trade. He also noted a potential cost for the superstar wide receiver, one that, while expensive, would be worth it for Cleveland.

"The Browns own two first-rounders: No. 6 overall and No. 24 overall from the Jacksonville Jaguars," McGonigal writes. "The latter would make more sense in a Brown deal."

Adding a player of Brown's caliber won't come cheap, and McGonigle has the cost as the 24th overall pick, originally owned by the Jacksonville Jaguars.

The Browns got that pick in the trade-down, which netted the Jaguars Travis Hunter. Instead of using that pick on a wide receiver or an offensive lineman, the Browns could turn it into a player like AJ Brown.

While there might be some concerns about Brown due to how 2025 went with the Eagles, adding a superstar wide receiver would be more than worth the hassle and drama for the Browns.

Jerry Jeudy, Cedric Tillman, and Isaiah Bond aren't a good enough wide receiver room for Sanders or a new quarterback. The Browns need help at WR.

Brown, even if it costs a first-round pick, would be worth it. And if the Browns don't want to part with the 24th pick, they have a high second-rounder, which also might be enough for the Eagles to part with Brown.

If the Browns want to trade for AJ Brown, they have the draft capital and money to do so. It would make a lot of sense for Cleveland, as Brown is under contract through the 2029 season, and has been one of the best wide receivers in the NFL the last few years.

The cost for Brown in a deal will be a high draft pick, with the 24th overall selection likely the most the Browns would have to part with to land the superstar, All-Pro WR.
