The Cleveland Browns were unable to snap their losing streak in Pittsburgh after getting beaten in Week 6 by the Steelers with a final score of 23-9.
It was rookie quarterback Dillon Gabriel's United States debut, but he was unable to find any success against the Steelers' defense. This led to the Browns failing to score a touchdown, resulting in three field goals by Andre Szmyt.
In the loss, tight end David Njoku picked up an injury. Head coach Kevin Stefanski provided an update on the Pro Bowl pass catcher.
Kevin Stefanski says David Njoku injured his knee in Week 6 loss to Steelers
David Njoku, 29, was one of the Browns' most productive receivers in the loss. In six targets, he came down with three catches for 28 yards.
The Pro Bowl tight end exited multiple times throughout the game with injuries, but a non-contact injury early in the fourth quarter resulted in him not returning to the game.

Injured again, favoring the left leg. The first video is the most recent play, second video is from earlier this game when his left knee hyperextends a little. Nothing obvious from the most recent play but possible still lingering issue from the second vid pic.twitter.com/VJ5UEKe5xa
After the divisional loss, head coach Kevin Stefanski clarified that the tight end didn't suffer a quad injury, but rather a setback to his knee.
It's a huge loss for the Browns as they prepare for Week 7 against the Miami Dolphins. Through five games this season, Njoku has 20 receptions, 195 yards, and one touchdown.
If he's unable to go, expect Cleveland to rely on 2025 third-round pick Harold Fannin Jr. to carry the workload at the tight end position.
