The Cleveland Browns are in the middle of a rough 4-12 season, and overall, things have gone very poorly this season.
But, if there was one bright spot, other than Myles Garrett chasing the NFL sack record, it would be the production from the 2025 rookie class.
In the wake of such a strong rookie class and the uncertainty around Andrew Berry's job status as GM going forward, NFL insider Jeremy Fowler of ESPN revealed a key update for Berry heading into 2026.
Andrew Berry gets Browns GM status update for 2026
"Browns general manager Andrew Berry has been operating like someone who will be back," Fowler writes, "and that's my sense of what will happen."
Thanks to an incredibly successful 2025 NFL Draft, Berry looks to have his job secure for the 2026 season, and potentially beyond.
While there was a lot of drama surrounding the quarterback selections of Dillon Gabriel and Shedeur Sanders, the rest of the 2025 draft class for Cleveland was a stellar one.
Their first pick was Mason Graham, but he was acquired after a trade-down with the Jacksonville Jaguars that netted the Browns an extra second-rounder in 2025 and a first-rounder in 2026.

Graham started slow, but now that he's turned things around, the Browns made out like bandits in that trade with the Jaguars. Their next picks came on day two, where Cleveland absolutely nailed it.
Carson Schwesinger looks to be the Defensive Rookie of the Year favorite, while Quinshon Judkins, Harold Fannin Jr., and even Dylan Sampson (round 4) look to be stars for years to come if they build on their 2025 seasons.
Cleveland hit the ball out of the park on their draft picks, and even though Gabriel and Sanders might not be the answer at quarterback, they've both shown enough to warrant keeping NFL jobs as backups at worst.
Berry is set to keep his GM spot, though Kevin Stefanski might be out of his head coaching job. But Fowler's report indicates that his strong 2025 draft class will keep the Browns GM job secure for Berry into 2026.
