The Cincinnati Bengals haven't had wide receiver Tee Higgins in the lineup for two of the last three games due to a pair of concussions.
Higgins suffered his first concussion in Week 12, leading to his missing Week 13. Then, Higgins sustained another one in Week 14 and sat out Sunday's contest.
As we gear up for Week 16 of the 2025 NFL season, Higgins' status will be one to monitor throughout the week.
Here's what we know about his chances of suiting up.
Will Tee Higgins return in Week 16?
Higgins made some progress in the concussion protocol last week by turning in two limited practices, so it stands to reason he has a better chance to suit up than not.
However, we must also take into account the fact that Higgins has two concussions in a short period of time, which is why we aren't more optimistic about his prospects of playing this week.
As of Monday, Higgins was still in the concussion protocol, head coach Zac Taylor said, but that's no surprise because he obviously didn't clear it last week.
The next step for Higgins will be to turn in a full practice. From there, he must be re-evaluated by an independent neurologist before he can be fully cleared to play.
With the Bengals playing on Sunday this week, they will be dropping their first injury report on Wednesday.
If Higgins logs a limited practice, it'll be status quo. If he is able to turn in a full practice, that will be a good sign he will play in Week 16.
