The Cincinnati Bengals got huge news at the start of Week 11. Joe Burrow is making his way back.

His 21-day activation window from Injured Reserve was begun, which means the superstar QB will be back in the next few weeks.

But for those hoping to see him on Sunday against the Pittsburgh Steelers, you're out of luck.

Burrow is still out.

Why isn't Joe Burrow playing today?

The Bengals announced officially on Friday that Burrow would remain out this week.

Burrow is working his way back from surgery he had for turf toe. The initial timelines mostly speculated on a return after Thanksgiving.

He's still got a couple weeks left on that 21-day activation window.

Burrow seems like he may return on Thanksgiving, when the Bengals play the night game on Thursday, Nov. 27 in Week 13 against the Ravens.

He could also beat that timeline and get back out there in Week 12 against the Patriots.
