Latest Joe Burrow injury update after Bengals QB's exit from Week 2 is troubling image

Cincinnati Bengals superstar quarterback Joe Burrow suffered a toe injury in the Week 2 game against the Jacksonville Jaguars and a new update from a Bengals reporter is bad news.

Burrow got hurt when he was taken down by a Jaguars defender in the second quarter. Initially it looked like he had an ankle injury, but the team diagnosed the signal-caller with a left toe injury instead.

Burrow had to be helped to the locker room and FOX19's Joe Danneman reports that the Bengals quarterback is using a scooter to get around in order to keep weight off his injured toe.

"Source: Joe Burrow just finished in the MRI room," Danneman reported. "Was using a one-legged scooter to get back to the locker room with his left leg propped up as to not put any weight on it."

That's obviously not a great sign for not only Burrow's status for the rest of the game, but for his status moving forward.

Burrow was running for his life for much of the second half, which only reaffirms the fact that Cincinnati has done a horrible job building the offensive line around its best player.

We'll see if the Bengals give an update on Burrow's status after the game.
