Late in the Cincinnati Bengals game against the Pittsburgh Steelers, Ja'Marr Chase got into an altercation with Jalen Rams ey, which led to Ramsey getting ejected for hitting Chase in the helmet.
But a video captured by Austin Briski of Fox 19 caught Chase spitting on Ramsey before the Steelers DB hit Chase. The NFL reviewed this incident and suspended Chase the next day.
This suspension, according to ESPN's Adam Schefter, will cost the Bengals' superstar wide receiver north of $500,000 if his appeal doesn't work. Not only will Chase be forced to miss a week, but he's going to be out over half a million dollars.
How Ja'Marr Chase spitting on Jalen Ramsey could cost Bengals WR over $500,000
"Ja'Marr Chase's one-game suspension will cost him his weekly paycheck of $443,333 along with a $58,823 per game active bonus he now will be forfeiting," Schefter reports.

Chase signed a massive $141 million deal this past offseason. It came with $112 million guaranteed, so the Bengals receiver isn't hurting for money, but it's still a significant amount to lose out on for one week.
Chase is appealing this suspension from the NFL, but based on how the NFL ruled Jalen Carter's spitting incident from earlier in the year, Chase's odds of getting this suspension taken away aren't great.

If it stands, the Bengals' wide receiver will miss the Week 12 game against the New England Patriots, and also will be out $502,156 for spitting on Ramsey during the Bengals' 34-12 loss in Week 11.
Tee Higgins, Andre Iosivas, and Mitchell Tinsley will be the leading receivers if Chase is out for Week 12. At 3-7, Chase's absence will dramatically hurt the Bengals' chances of pulling off the upset win over the Patriots.
Not only is Chase's season potentially on hold, but as Schefter reports, he would be out over half a million dollars for spitting on Ramsey.
