The Cincinnati Bengals came into trade deadline week coming off a brutal loss to the Chicago Bears. After a defensive collapse, the Bengals fell to 3-6 and face an uphill battle to make it to the playoffs.
After such a crushing loss, the trade rumors surrounding Trey Hendrickson ramped back up. Those rumors had been around the Bengals All-Pro for some time, and with the 2025 NFL trade deadline upon Cincinnati, decision time was here.
As the NFL deadline passed, and after some stunning trades earlier in the day by the New York Jets, did the Bengals actually act on the Hendrickson trade rumors, or is the pass rusher staying in Cincinnati?
Did the Bengals trade Trey Hendrickson?
The Bengals, despite plenty of rumors over the last few months, didn't end up trading Hendrickson by the 2025 NFL trade deadline.
The All-Pro pass rusher will stay in Cincinnati, as he finishes out a one-year, $29 million contract with the Bengals. He will look to come back after the bye week and help the Bengals close out the year on a positive note.

The 30-year-old pass rusher is in his ninth NFL season, and after four straight Pro Bowls in Cincinnati, is in the middle of a down year with the Bengals.
He has four sacks in seven weeks and has missed two games already this season. He likely won't reach the sack number he's had each of the last two seasons, with 17.5 likely out of reach in the final eight weeks of the season.
The Bengals are keeping Hendrickson in Cincinnati, as the veteran pass rusher is set to play out the final year of his deal in Cincinnati before hitting free agency.
