Bengals' Zac Taylor sends Ja'Marr Chase message after spitting incident

It wasn't an ideal Sunday in Week 11 for the Cincinnati Bengals for more reasons than one. 

Not only did the team get embarrassed by the Pittsburgh Steelers, one of their biggest rivals, but Cincinnati also has to deal with Ja'Marr Chase and the actions he committed in the loss. 

Chase was seen on video spitting on Jalen Rams ey and has been suspended for a game. Reports have indicated that he plans to appeal that suspension, but it doesn't excuse what he did to the All-Pro in Ramsey. 

When speaking to reporters, it sounds like that's something Zac Taylor, the head coach of the Bengals, wanted to clarify.

What did Zac Taylor say?

He stated that Chase will own up to his actions and that he's one of his favorite players that he's ever coached. 

"Obviously what happened is crossing the line. He'll own up to that," Taylor said, per USA Today. "Ja'Marr is one of my favorite players. I love how this guy handles everything that he's been a part of. So making one mistake doesn't disregard everything this guy's done that's been positive for us."

The reality is, one mistake isn't going to change everything for Chase, but he has to learn that this isn't something he can do. 

Unless Ramsey said things, which is very possible considering fans can't hear those situations when they happen, there's no reason to ever spit on another grown man.

As a result, the Bengals are now in a somewhat tough spot heading into this game against the New England Patriots, a contest they weren’t looking good in to begin with.
