Bengals issue coaching staff update after back-to-back losses image

All things seemed to be trending upwards after Joe Flacco came in after being traded from the Cleveland Browns and knocked off the Pittsburgh Steelers in a Week 7 thriller.

However, just two weeks later, the Cincinnati Bengals are back to square one. Following back-to-back losses to the New York Jets and the Chicago Bears, Bengals fans aren't too happy after falling to 3-6.

A coaching change could be what the Bengals need, particularly on defense. However, that change doesn't appear to be coming.

Zac Taylor says there won't be any staff changes on defense

The Cincinnati Bengals' defense ranks dead last in points allowed (33.3), rushing yards allowed (166.4), and total yards allowed per game (426.6) so far this 2025 season.

It's safe to say that we all know what's holding the Bengals back from winning games, but this doesn't appear to spark a change within the organization.

Head coach Zac Taylor said on Monday that there's going to be no staff changes on the defensive side of the ball, also mentioning that he still trusts defensive coordinator Al Golden, The Athletic's Paul Dehner Jr. Reported.

Those comments may not sit well with fans. As the team heads into its Week 10 bye, the Bengals will be searching for answers to several pressing questions.
