The top headline of Tuesday's NFL news struck after the Cincinnati Bengals sent a fifth-round pick to the Cleveland Browns in exchange for a sixth-round pick and quarterback Joe Flacco.
It was evident that the Bengals were ready to find improvement at the quarterback position after Jake Browning came in and threw for six touchdowns and eight interceptions through four games.
With this being said, what's to expect from Cincinnati as they prepare to travel to Lambeau Field and take on the Green Bay Packers in Week 6?
Bengals expect Joe Flacco to come in and be ready for Week 6 vs. Packers
Joe Flacco has been dealt a whirlwind of emotions after getting benched for rookie quarterback Dillon Gabriel for Week 5. It took less than a week for the Browns to bench and trade the veteran quarterback for draft compensation.
Now, as a possible suitor for the Bengals in a struggling quarterback position, Flacco will have the chance once again to make starts for an NFL franchise.
NFL insider Adam Schefter reported on the newly acquired Bengals quarterback.
"Bengals would like their new QB Joe Flacco to be ready to play Sunday at Green Bay vs. the Packers," Schefter said. "The veteran Flacco is expected to be a quick learner."
Flacco, 40, has been dealt a fair share of new playbooks in recent years. He's played on five different rosters since 2019 and will join his sixth after getting traded on Tuesday.
