There is a lot to celebrate right now if you’re a Chicago Bears fan. Ben Johnson certainly thinks so, too, after his latest ‘Good Better Best’ rally cry after the Eagles game.

The Bears sit at 9-3, looking down on the rest of the NFC, and there are a slew of reasons for that.

They hired Johnson in the offseason, which has been nothing but positive. They retooled their offensive line into one of the best units in football, and they’ve had both tremendous play and buy-in up and down the roster.

From 32-year-old Kevin Byard leading the NFL in interceptions (6), to rookie Kyle Monangai looking like one of the best in his class, there are a lot of Bears getting good looks. Now, as the 1-seed in the NFC, the eyes of the nation are upon them.

So far in early Pro Bowl voting, some Bears are getting the respect they deserve.

We could see up to six Chicago Bears in the Pro Bowl

Week 13 just wrapped up, so there is still time left to vote and for these numbers to change, but early on, there are a lot of Bears getting votes.

The top two vote getters make more than enough sense. Byard is again leading the league in interceptions and has been an anchoring force for their defense all season. Joe Thuney has been a godsend as well, anchoring the new offensive line unit for Chicago.

The rest of the list includes players who, without them, the Bears would be nowhere near where they are now.

I’m sure most Bears fans are hoping to see none of these players play in the Pro Bowl, however. They’d much rather see them playing on Super Bowl Sunday.
