The Chicago Bears are welcoming the Los Angeles Rams to Soldier Field for the NFC Division round of the playoffs, as Sean McVay and Ben Johnson are set to face off for a chance to move on to the NFC Championship game.
This is a great matchup, as the Rams and Bears have some of the most explosive offensive units in the NFL, and are sure to feature some incredible highlights. Caleb Williams and the Bears offense face a tougher defense, one that might know how to stop Williams.
Pro Football Talk's Michael David Smith shared a quote from Rams pass rusher Jared Verse, who revealed how he and the Rams defense plan to stop Williams. Verse's solution is simple: aim for Williams arm.
Jared Verse reveals plan to stop Caleb Williams
"You've got to keep rushing, you've got to keep running, and once you get your hands around him, you can't fully grab him, aim for his arms," Verse said. "You have to aim for his arm, try to mess his throw up a little bit."
Attacking Williams this weekend might be easier than normal, as Ozzy Trapilo sustained a brutal injury at the end of the Green Bay Packers game.
Verse and the Rams' pass rushers plan to go after Williams' arm in this weekend's playoff matchup. While it's a sound strategy for the pass rushers to impact Williams throwing ability.
Even though Williams could escape the pocket and find receivers down the field, Verse is calling for the Rams to attack Williams' arm no matter where they are on the field.

While Williams won't be easy to defend, as he's been one of the better quarterbacks in the NFL this season, the Rams defense believes they have a strategy to slow him down.
Verse and the Rams' pass rushers want to make Williams' life even just a little bit harder. By going after his arm, the Bears quarterback might not be able to get as accurate throws off. It's not a foolproof plan, but it's a worthy strategy.
Williams knows the Rams will come after him, and he's shown an ability like the best quarterbacks to get away from pressure and find receivers open downfield. It's going to be a fun matchup, and Williams is sure to provide some high-quality fireworks.
