Tonight, we are getting blessed as sports fans. We get yet another installment of one of the greatest and oldest rivalries in the history of not just football, but all of sports.

The Chicago Bears will play host to the Green Bay Packers tonight in their second of two matchups this season, and there is a lot riding on this game for both teams.

The winner would become the division leader in the NFC North and would likely then hold that title into the playoffs. With so much on the line, this is going to be one of the most important games of the season for both teams.

Last week, unfortunately, that matchup lost just a bit of its luster when the Packers announced they'd lost star edge rusher Micah Parsons to a season-ending ACL tear. They also lost other players, such as starting tackle Zach Tom.

The Denver Broncos game did a number on the Packers.

Fortunately for Chicago, even a week removed from the game, that matchup with Denver could still be haunting Green Bay. This statistic regarding games in Denver could very well be an indicator of what we see tonight.

Bears might get blessed by the Denver Broncos

Football is a violent sport, and when you play such a violent sport, you tend to get beaten up with bumps and bruises that don't just go away within the next week.

For teams that play against the Denver Broncos this season, they definitely feel it leading into the following week.

Of the six teams that have traveled to Denver to face the Broncos this season, those teams are 1-5 overall in the following weeks and are 0-6 against the spread.

Not only that, but these teams are losing by an average of 11 PPG, making the following week's matchups not necessarily close.

You mix the elevation and the physicality of this Denver team with the fact that this is a shorter week for Green Bay, and it might spell trouble for the Green and Gold.
