To the winner go the spoils. And as D.J. Moore and the Chicago Bears are starting to learn, all the jokes too.

Moore put the cherry on top of a delicious comeback sundae for the Bears on Saturday night as they came from down 10 in the fourth quarter to win 22-16 on Moore’s 46-yard bomb in overtime.

Chicago can now secure a playoff berth for the first time since 2020 if a few bounces go their way on Sunday. However, they took a little bit of time to enjoy their momentous victory on Saturday night before turning their attention to the future and their likely postseason appearance.

Moore was understandably emotional after capping off such a huge win in what has been a tough season for him individually. In his immediate on-field post-game interview, he defiantly declared, “F*ck the Packers.” But somehow, that wasn’t the funniest thing he did after hitting that walk-off home run.

D.J. Moore takes a shot at Wisconsin’s signature industry after big win

Green Bay is a small town in Wisconsin. And if Wisconsin is known for anything other than their Packers, it’s their cheese. They produce more cheese than any other state in America, which is about a quarter of the nation’s total. Whether variety, quality, or quantity, Wisconsin is the cheese capital of the U.S.A.

And that’s why Packers fans call themselves “Cheeseheads”. Watch any Green Bay home game and you’re sure to see many a fan wearing a classic yellow slice of cheese on their head.

And that’s where D.J. Moore’s amazing postgame joke comes in: the wideout donned a cheese grater novelty hat in the locker room after the game in one of the more clever and funny moves you’ll see in any sports rivalry.

Moore didn’t just beat the Packers, he grated the Cheeseheads too. You’ve got to love good ol’ fashioned, harmless banter.

What makes the joke even funnier is that it was clearly planned. Moore or one of his Bears teammates would have had to buy that novelty hat well before the game.

That means that not only did D.J. Moore and the Bears get the last laugh against the Packers (multiple times), they believed in themselves to do it the whole time too.

Could a novelty cheese grater hat really prove the Bears are for real?
