In the NFL, the most critical position on the field is, and has been, the QB. Without a solid player at that position, you have little to no chance of success.

When the Chicago Bears drafted Caleb Williams with the number one overall pick in 2024, they were looking to put an end to years of mediocre play at the QB position.

After a solid rookie season, Caleb Williams is now looking like the guy they expected.

More: Caleb Williams breaks another franchise record. Is he already the greatest QB in Bears history?

This season, Caleb has broken multiple franchise records and set a few NFL records as well. He's living up to the elite billing he received entering the draft, and with Ben Johnson by his side, he'll likely keep improving.

One of his skills that finally transferred to the NFL this year has been his escapability. He's now one of, if not the hardest, QBs in the league to bring down. Oftentimes, if you miss him, he'll get going to pick up first down yardage.

His speed this season has not only caught people's eyes but also placed him among some of the league's fastest players.

Caleb Williams tops out as one of the NFL's fastest players

In the last few seasons, since we've been introduced to more and more advanced statistics, one of the more fun metrics to track has been the speed of players.

This year, the list came out of the fastest players this season, and how many runs each player had, where they exceeded 20 MPH. Caleb Williams found himself pretty high on the list, and of course, he had to let his WR1 know about it.

Caleb Williams had five runs this season, in which he topped 20 MPH, which tied him with a few other players for second most in the league.

Some of the other names with five such runs included star players like Derrick Henry, Saquon Barkley, and Bijan Robinson. Those are some of the best RBs in the league. It's highly impressive that Williams finds himself among them.

Williams was sure to let Rome Odunze know that this is what "real speed" looks like. Hopefully for Bears fans, he'll be able to show off that speed into February.
