The Chicago Bears could be interested in adding a star running back to Ben Johnson's offense. They have the 10th overall pick, and, one way or another, could use it to add a star running back.

Ashton Jeanty is the best running back in the NFL Draft, and there is a good chance he is not available at No.10 for the Bears. However, FanSided's Cody Williams predicted the Bears would make this trade with the New York Jets to put themselves in position to draft Jeanty:

  • Bears receive: No.7 overall pick
  • Jets receive: No.10 overall pick, No.72 overall pick and 2026 second-round pick

"We're going to see the Ben Johnson effect in Chicago pretty immediately and I think, after aggressively improving the offensive line this offseason, that's going to be creating a two-headed monster with Jeanty and D'Andre Swift a la (Sonic) and Knuckles in Detroit," wrote Williams. "One thing's for sure, having the all-around stud in the backfield that Jeanty is will be a huge help to Caleb Williams' development."

The Las Vegas Raiders are reportedly the biggest threat to take Jeanty in the top ten. However, in Williams' mock, the Raiders selected Armand Membou. If Jeanty slides past the Raiders, the Bears may want to move up to the very next pick before another team moves up to take him.

Jeanty was the Heisman Trophy runner-up last season and ran for over 2,000 yards. He could be key in Johnson creating an elite offense in Chicago. The Bears have other needs as well, but Jeanty has the makings of a superstar.
