The Chicago Bears eclipsed the .500 mark on Monday night after their 25-24 win over the Washington Commanders. Caleb Williams led a game-winning drive that resulted in a chip-shot field goal by Jake Moody as time expired.  The good news for Chicago's offense is that running back D'Andre Swift got going as the team's leading rusher and receiver in the game.

For Bears' fans, if that 25-24 score sounds eerily familiar, it's because it is. Two weeks ago, the Bears defeated the Las Vegas Raiders by a score of 25-24.

Bears make NFL history with second one-point win

The Chicago Bears have now picked up consecutive wins by just one point in their last two games. The Bears are the second team to do that in NFL history, and the first since the Super Bowl Era.

The previous instance came in 1926 when the Frankford Yellow Jackets rattled off a pair of 7-6 wins over the Detroit Panthers and the Chicago Bears.

Football was vastly different 100 years ago than it is now, and this is a weird infographic that will likely never happen again. The odds of this happening in consecutive games is extremely low, but Chicago is a team this season in the NFL that is prone to playing close games. In three of the Bears' five games this season, the game has been decided by three or fewer points.
