The Chicago Bears are entering their Week 17 game against the San Francisco 49ers with the NFC North already clinched. The Green Bay Packers lost on Saturday night and gave the Bears the NFC North title.
But the Bears still have something to play for, as they could improve their seeding in the playoffs, and are at risk of seeing their seed drop from the 2nd spot to the 3rd spot.
That's why the injury update for Bears wide receivers DJ Moore and Olamide Zaccheaus, who were reportedly added to the injury report due to an illness, according to NFL Network insider Ian Rapoport, is significant.
Bears WRs DJ Moore and Olamide Zaccheaus downgraded to questionable for Week 17
"Bears are adding WRs DJ Moore and Olamide Zaccheaus to the injury report because of an illness," Rapoport revealed Sunday morning.
This is a significant update, as the Bears' wide receivers might not be good enough to play in Week 17 against the 49ers. They could still go, but this is still a concerning update.
While the Bears don't need to win this game like they used to, it's still a matchup that could put Chicago on track to secure the NFC's top seed, and the second seed at worst.

With Rome Odunze already out, the Bears are at risk of being down three of their top four receivers if neither Moore nor Zaccheaus can get healthy for game time Sunday night.
Both wide receivers are huge pieces of the offense, especially Moore, who had the game-winning overtime touchdown against the Packers a week ago.
While Luther Burden is back and now poised for a large workload, the Bears are at risk of missing multiple of their top receivers in a big game for their chances at the NFC's number 1 seed.
