The Chicago Bears and Green Bay Packers rivalry is one of the most historic rivalries in all of sports. Caleb Williams hopes to turn the fortunes back in the Bears' favor.
Going into last season, the Packers had won 10 straight games against the Bears. Williams lost his first game against the Packers, but on January 5, 2025, he snapped the Bears' 11-game losing streak against their arch rivals. He became the first Bears quarterback to beat the Packers since Mitchell Trubisky in 2018. Williams spoke on the rivalry and called out Packers fans during an interview at Fanatics Fest.
"They suck," Williams said of Packers fans, according to Empire Sports Media's Ryan Garcia.
Williams outlined a story of how he tried to Lambeau Leap after the Bears' Week 18 win against the Packers. He said the fans were throwing stuff at the Bears players and pushing them down in their attempt to Lambeau Leap.
Aaron Rodgers long dominated the Bears in his time as the Packers quarterback. Now the rivalry has two new faces, Jordan Love and Williams. With Ben Johnsopn expected to take the Bears offense to a new level, Williams and the Bears could finally start making the rivalry more competitive.

Williams had 3,541 yards in his rookie year. The Bears won just five games, but Williams looked like a player who could lead the franchise. He threw 20 touchdowns and just six interceptions. With a new coaching staff and a year of experience under Williams' belt, the Bears could be more competitive than they have been in years.
