The Chicago Bears quarterback Caleb Williams is getting involved off the football field. It was announced today that the former first overall pick in the 2024 NFL draft is joining the investor group for Boston Legacy Football Club.

The Boston Legacy is a new soccer team in the National Women's Soccer League, and their inaugural season is set for 2026.

Inside Williams' strategic investment firm

Chicago's Caleb Williams founded 888 Midas, a private firm that focuses on venture capital, private equity, real estate, and other business activities.

Here is what Williams had to say about joining the investor group for Boston Legacy:

“With 888 Midas, we are so excited to be part of the Boston Legacy Football Club,” Williams said. “Women’s sports is a movement, and I admire and respect the work that the team and the NWSL continues to do to grow the sport and empower future generations of athletes. Boston Legacy Football Club is building something special, and we’re proud to be a part of what’s next.”

Women's professional soccer is a growing sport in the U.S, and William's becoming a part-owner of one of the clubs reflects that.

Williams joins a cast of celebrities in the investing process.
