Will Bryce Young play in Week 12? Injury updates, fantasy football handcuff advice image

The Carolina Panthers have an injury to monitor ahead of their Week 12 contest against the San Francisco 49ers after quarterback Bryce Young was battling an injury in Week 11.

Young sustained what was diagnosed as an ankle injury and he was forced to leave the game twice but was ultimately able to finish — and he had a fantastic showing in the process.

However, as we know, sometimes things can get worse with an injury in the days after, so there's no guarantee he'll suit up in Week 12.

Here's the latest injury updates on Young ahead of the Monday night showdown with San Francisco.

Will Bryce Young play in Week 12?

We won't know more on Young's status until the Panthers release their first injury report of the week, which will come on Thursday since Carolina plays Monday night.

However, ESPN's David Newton noted on Tuesday that Young seemed to be moving around the locker room just fine.

"Bryce Young seems to be walking well around the Panthers locker room. No apparent setback from Sunday’s right ankle injury," Newton reported.

As of right now, we would expect Young to play in Week 12.

Who is Bryce Young's handcuff?

That would be good old Andy Dalton.

We would not suggest him as a lineup option if Young sits, however, as Dalton was not good in his lone start this season against a soft Buffalo Bills defense.
