There's a lot of hype for the Carolina Panthers around their rookie receiver Tetairoa McMillan.
At least a bit of that has to do with people dreaming on him turning into Mike Evans, the uber-consistent star receiver for the Tampa Bay Buccaneers.
ESPN's Matt Bowen joined that hype train in a new article, writing, "McMillan has the 6-foot-5 frame to win boundary matchups for quarterback Bryce Young against the Jags' defense. Remember, (Dave) Canales coached 6-foot-5 Mike Evans in Tampa."
McMillan has the size and the coach.

He's quite a baller, too.
The Panthers took him No. 8 out of Arizona in April.
As a Wildcats sophomore, McMillan had 90 catches for 1,402 yards and 10 touchdowns.
As a junior, he added 84 grabs for 1,139 yards and eight TDs.

Now, he'll try to help elevate Bryce Young.
"I'm ready to do whatever it takes," McMillan said on the ESPN broadcast after he was drafted. "I know I've got a quarterback I can trust in."
If McMillan is anything like Evans, Young will certainly have a receiver he can give the trust right back to.
It's an exciting time for the Panthers. The future looks like it might just be pretty bright.
