A former Carolina Panthers wide receiver is calling it a career after 13 seasons.

Adam Thielen took to social media to announce his retirement after playing his final game with the Pittsburgh Steelers in the team's wild-card loss to the Houston Texans.

Here is Thielen's announcement, via his Instagram:

"What a ride it has been! 13 years what a blessing!" He said. "Have been blessed with so many great relationships and mentors over the years that I am forever grateful for! Thank you to everyone who has supported me through the years it has meant everything to my family and I!"

Though he finished his career in Pittsburgh Steelers and spent most of his time in the NFL with his hometown team, the Minnesota Vikings, Thielen also played two seasons with the Carolina Panthers in 2023 and 2024.

During his time in Carolina, Thielen posted a 1,000-yard campaign in 2023 with 103 catches and four touchdowns. He tallied 151 receptions for 1,629 yards and eight touchdowns in his Panthers tenure.

Thielen defied all the odds as an undrafted free agent from a D2 school by carving out a solid NFL career with two Pro Bowl selections, both with the Vikings, and three seasons with over 1,000 receiving yards.

Thielen is one of the greatest Vikings receivers of his generation, and we wish him the best of luck as he embarks on the next stage of his life.
