With the way this Carolina Panthers season is going, you can turn the television off after the opening coin toss.
The result of the coin toss being in the Panthers' favor or not has aligned exactly with the result of each of their games.
The Panthers have won the opening coin toss six times. They have won all six of those games.

And for those surprised by this development, it might be just as surprising that the Panthers are 6-5.
Of course, this stat doesn't tell us everything. Sometimes the Panthers get to called. Sometimes the other team gets to call.
Sometimes the Panthers get to receive. Sometimes the Panthers kick off.
There's really no rhyme or reason as to why this has worked out in alignment with Carolina's outcome every time, but it has.
The Panthers have an odd history with coin tosses. In 2012, they lost the opening coin toss in each of their first 13 games.
This might be even sillier, though. Keep an eye on who wins the coin toss in Week 12 when the Panthers take on the San Francisco 49ers. It might just tell us everything we need to know.
