The Buffalo Bills' offensive line has gotten beaten up over the last two weeks. Both Dion Dawkins and Spencer Brown were injured in the disastrous Thursday night loss to the Houston Texans in Week 12. Dawkins suffered a concussion while Spencer Brown injured his shoulder.
This led to Ryan Van Denmark and Alec Anderson starting, and playing very well. Josh Allen wasn't sacked once against the Pittsburgh Steelers in the team's 26-7 win. Speaking to the media on Wednesday, Brown seemed in high spirits and believes he could return to the lineup on Sunday against the Cincinnati Bengals.
"I'm pretty close [to returning] I think," Brown said via Thad Brown. "I'm just doing my rehab every single day in the training room with [the training staff]. Just taking it day by day... I'm gonna put myself in the best position to play. If I can't Van will be out there doing his thing again."
Brown has been one of the most underrated Bills since being drafted out of Northern Iowa in 2021. Luckily, the Bills don't need to rush him back due to the play of Van Denmark. Once the postseason rolls around, though, having the big 6-foot-8 right tackle back will be a must.
