When the first report came out Saturday night, it seemed too outlandish to be true.
Why would the Buffalo Bills bench Keon Coleman to take on the talented Tampa Bay Buccaneers on Sunday, coming off a loss no less?
But that's what's happening.
Coleman is going to be inactive on Sunday, according to Cover 1 and then NFL insider Jordan Schultz.

Why isn't Keon Coleman playing today?
Coleman isn't injured. The Bills have made a team decision to keep him off the active roster for Week 11.
The insider Schultz calls it a coach's decision, explaining it like this:
"I’m told it’s not performance-based — Coleman actually had a strong week of practice — but the team wants to see more from him in other areas."
ESPN's Adam Schefter shared this on X at about 11:15 a.m. ET:
"Source: Bills WR Keon Coleman is inactive today because he missed a team meeting Friday morning. Until then, the Bills planned to play him, but their plans changed when he missed the meeting."
That's really, really not a good look for the second-year WR.
The Bills don't have a great receiving corps to begin with. No Coleman? It gets worse.
Mecole Hardman and Gabe Davis are both anticipated to be active with Coleman out.
The Bills have a quick turnaround to Thursday night against the Texans, too, so it remains to be seen what Coleman's future looks like.
