The Buffalo Bills and their receiver room have been a hot topic ever since Stefon Diggs left.

Some think Josh Allen needs a true No. 1 weapon. Others think a receiver-by-committee approach is best.

But that hasn't stopped some from linking the Bills to every star receiver this offseason, and one name we hear often is Philadelphia Eagles star A. J. Brown.

Thought to be on the outer in Philly, Brown would give Allen a bona fide No. 1 threat in the passing game.

But there are a host of reasons why a move like this simply won't work.

One is money. Per Over The Cap, Brown has a $23 million cap hit and a salary of $29 million in 2026. That is rather steep.

But the biggest reason why Brown wouldn't work in Buffalo is down to one thing - culture.

Why Bills shouldn't go after Brown

We know through various reports that Brown isn't happy when he doesn't get targets. In fact, he hates it.

Yes, he is a quality receiver, but the perception is that he cares more about his own stats than winning.

And that won't fly in Buffalo.

Joe Brady and his selfless "everybody eats" mantra are the exact opposite of what Brown wants.

Would the receiver, who makes it known to the entire football world how unhappy he is, be fine with two or three targets, not catches, in a game? We know the answer to that.

In my opinion, the idea of Brown in Buffalo, on the surface, is a good one, but it doesn't seem like he would fit with the Bills' culture, Brady's scheme, or his mantra.

The Bills didn't like it when Diggs started acting out. How would they act when Brown starts doing it?

Because history suggests he will.
