The Buffalo Bills pulled Josh Allen.

And this time, it's because they were involved in an ugly afternoon.

The Bills were getting crushed in Miami, and with three minutes left, Allen stayed on the sideline at the start of a new drive.

Mitchell Trubisky was in at QB instead.

Why did the Bills pull Josh Allen for Mitchell Trubisky?

The Bills were protecting Allen from himself.

The last thing the Bills would need is to get Allen injured while down 30-13 with three minutes left.

The NFL watched last week as Commanders QB Jayden Daniels got hurt trailing by 31 points in the fourth quarter.

There's no reason to risk Allen at that point.

His last throw of the day was a touchdown to Jackson Hawes, so maybe that's something to build on.

But it made perfect sense to let Allen rest the final few minutes. There was a lot more to lose than there was to gain.
