The Buffalo Bills had easy game theory.

They won the overtime coin toss, and they chose to kickoff.

That's wrong.

They need to receive and take the ball first.

Here's why:

The reason you want the ball first is because you want it third.

Both teams get a chance to possess the ball. At that point, it turns into sudden death.

So the team that has the potential to get the ball third has the chance to end it without the other team getting the ball a second time.

Getting the ball second in OT does allow you to know what you need, but that's not worth the other half of things.

We'll see how it plays out.
