Who's going to the Super Bowl? ESPN NFL insider predicts wild match-up image

The NFL playoffs are here! Starting Saturday the march to the Super Bowl officially is on.

ESPN insider Bill Barnwell just dropped a bombshell Super Bowl prediction, and it’s a cross-country shootout no one saw coming: Buffalo Bills vs. Los Angeles Rams.

Forget the usual suspects; Barnwell is calling for a rematch of December 2024's 44-42 thriller between the Bills and Rams. This "wildly entertaining" projection pits two MVP candidates Matthew Stafford and Josh Allen against one another. While Buffalo brings their one man show Josh Allen, Barnwell warns that Allen’s heroics might not be enough to overcome L.A.’s defense.

The x-factor? Puka Nacua.

Barnwell notes the Bills simply have "no answer" for the star wideout, who torched them for 178 total yards last time they squared off. Furthermore, Buffalo’s 31st-ranked run defense faces a Rams rushing attack that has been "one of the most efficient of the past decade."

It will be interesting to see how the arm of Stafford fairs against a Bills unit that's allowed the fewest passing yards per game this season (156.9).

Barnwell’s verdict: Rams 38, Bills 34.

The Betting Edge:

Currently, the Bills (+700) remain slight favorites over the Rams (+1100) to hoist the Lombardi Trophy. If you’re hunting for value, the Rams’ dominant run game makes them a dangerous underdog.

Will Josh Allen be the "best player on the planet" and flip the script, or will Sean McVay’s machine roll to another title? One thing is certain: if Barnwell is right, we’re in for a classic.
