Where does Bills' Josh Allen land on latest QB rankings ahead of Week 15? image

The old Josh Allen was back for the Buffalo Bills in Week 14 as he put on the Superman cape and delivered dagger after dagger to the Cincinnati Bengals in the 39-34 win.

Allen made plays with his arm, as the Khalil Shakir touchdown throw was out of this world, and then he used his legs to break the back of the Bengals.

One was a 40-yard rushing touchdown, the other was converting a third-and-15 to end the game.

For Nick Shook, in his latest quarterback rankings for NFL.com, Allen continues to climb, moving up one spot from last week to No. 3.

"Josh Allen put on his cape and carried the Bills to victory on a snowy day in Buffalo, propelling them to a key win and staving off what would have been a shocking loss to the Bengals," Shook wrote. "His 40-yard rushing score and fourth-down touchdown pass to Jackson Hawes were just the latest demonstrations of his rare talents."

Bills might need Superman vs. Patriots

Given what is at stake on Sunday, the Bills might need Allen to continue his form at Gillette Stadium as the New England Patriots look to claim the AFC East on their home turf.

With the Patriots' defense playing well, Allen might be called upon to do more through the air and on the ground, and we have seen that when he goes into "that" mode, as he did against the Bengals, good things usually happen.

Of course, other times it hinders his team, but Buffalo is at a point in the season where it knows it must win out to clinch the division and hope the Patriots stumble.

The Bills have seen Clark Kent for most of the season, but now, as it all comes down to one game, maybe it will be Superman that emerges from the booth in Week 15.
