Report: Bills GM Brandon Beane made PFF change their grading system image

"You guys were b*tching in 2018 about Josh Allen - you guys wanted Josh Rosen. And now you guys are b*tching that we don't have a receiver. I don't get it... we just scored 30 points in a row for eight straight games. A year ago, I get you guys asking why we didn't have receivers, but I don't understand it now. You just saw us lead the league in points. When you add all the postseason [games], no one scored ore points than the Buffalo Bills, including the Super Bowl champions. So you just saw us do it without Stefon Diggs... our job is to score points and win games. Where do we need to get better? Defense. We did that.""]Brandon Beane will always go to bat for his players. Nothing made that more evident than after the draft when he went on WGR 550 and addressed the criticism that the Bills didn't draft a receiver in the early rounds.

"It sounds like 2018 all over again with you guys," Beane said. Defense. We did that."

Now, if a former PFF employee is to be believed, Beane nearly stopped the Bills from doing business with PFF after their criticism of a free agent signing.

Sam Monson appeared in WGR 550 and told a story about Beane getting angry at PFF for their comments on Buffalo's signing of Matt Kalil.

"Brandon Beane, I think, might be the most sensitive general manager in the entire NFL," Monson said. "Now that I don't work at PFF, I can tell stories. PFF had to change the way they applied grading to free agents because Brandon Beane called up one day butthurt that we criticized the Matt Kalil signing... he threatened to pull business."

While it may have been a bit much of Beane to threaten to pull business, PFF shouldn't change how they do their jobs because one GM got angry. Should it be true, neither side looks good.
