No more debates: Josh Allen is undeniably better than Lamar Jackson image

Josh Allen is better than Lamar Jackson. Not only is it obvious, it's no longer remotely a conversation.

Trust me, I hear all of you moaning and can feel you rolling your eyes. It's okay. I'll stand alone on the mountain of being right.

What we just saw Josh Allen do has quite literally never been done in the history of the NFL. Going into this game, teams that scored 40 points and had at least 230 yards on the ground were 277-0 - Josh Allen made that record 277-1.

"But Jarrett, how is it Lamar's fault that Derrick Henry fumbled?!"

It's not. Of course it's not. But if I watched the same game you all watched, Lamar got the ball back with the lead right after that and went three-and-out. And then Allen threw a rope to Josh Palmer to put the Bills in scoring position, and then connected with Keon Coleman on another long pass to set up Matt Prater's game-winning field goal.

Allen had 251 yards in the fourth quarter alone - that's more than Jackson threw in the entire game. He also had three fourth quarter touchdowns, which equaled Jackson's game-long production, and he did so without Derrick Henry rushing for 169 yards behind him and without several other All-Pros on his team.

This game was the perfect example as to why Allen was the MVP in 2024. Baltimore is loaded - the Bills are 17 and a prayer.

That's not to diminish the performances of James Cook or Keon Coleman, both of whom had great games, but Zay Flowers is better than any receiver on the Bills' roster and Henry is better than Cook - no one would argue otherwise. The Bills' defense was an obstacle Allen was forced to overcome all evening, and at times, so were his pass-catchers. In spite of that, he still led one of the most improbable comebacks in NFL history. On top of that, Allen has now beaten Lamar more times than he's lost to him, is 2-0 in the postseason against him, and just put together a near-impossible win over Jackson and the Ravens despite the former giving him their very best shot.

Yes, both quarterbacks are great, but one is better - and it's very clearly the guy who wears 17 in Buffalo.
