NFL fines Bills' RB Ty Johnson $10,777 for "obscene gesture" TD celebration image

A week ago, Ty Johnson took a pass from Josh Allen 52 yards to the house for a touchdown.

The NFL didn't like what came next.

Johnson celebrated his score by laying down on the ground and thrusting his hips a couple times.

The league announced a fine of $10,777 for that "obscene gesture."

It took the fine news so long to come out that the Bills already played (and lost) Thursday night in another game before the fine came out for the previous game.

Kind of feels like adding insult to injury for Buffalo at this point.

In the grand scheme of things, it's not a big check for Johnson to write. And he clearly was pumped up about the incredible catch-and-run touchdown that came in a big win for the Bills.

It's probably enough to prevent him from doing the same celebration again. Johnson doesn't find the end zone a lot, anyway.

This was rare, and Johnson got a little carried away.

And while the NFL has gotten looser with celebrations through the years, there are still some they definitely won't allow. This was one of those.
