The Buffalo Bills look to climb up the AFC playoff standings with a win over Joe Burrow and the Cincinnati Bengals in Buffalo on Sunday. Josh Allen has never defeated Burrow, going 0-2 in their pair of matchups. Unfortunately for Buffalo, they will be going into Sunday without one of their top defenders.
Defensive end Joey Bosa will not be playing Sunday, per Sean McDermott.
"Bills coach Sean McDermott says on WGR that DE Joey Bosa and LB Terrel Bernard are out vs. The Bengals, while WR Josh Palmer is doubtful," Ian Rapoport reports. "On the good side, LT Dion Dawkins cleared concussion protocol."
Bosa made the play that swung the momentum in Buffalo's favor in Week 13 against the Pittsburgh Steelers, strip sacking Aaron Rodgers, which led to a scoop and score for Christian Benford and put the Bills on top early in the third quarter. Bosa leads the NFL with five forced fumbles. With no Bernard in the middle, Shaq Thompson will take on a bigger role alongside Matt Milano.
This game is a must-win for the 4-8 Bengals, who need to win out and get a little bit of help to win the AFC North and clinch an unlikely playoff berth. For the Bills, they need a win to keep pace with the 11-2 New England Patriots in the AFC East.
