There was some concern surrounding Buffalo Bills running back James Cook to start the week after he was added to the injury report on Wednesday.
Cook tweaked his ankle during the Week 9 game against the Kansas City Chiefs and was put on the injury report on Wednesday and did not practice.
However, there was optimism for Cook on Thursday after he turned in a limited practice, which was an upgrade from the day before.
But Cook put any remaining doubt about his status to rest during an interview with Kay Adams, where he revealed he would play in Week 10.
"I'm ready to go," Cook told Adams. "I'm gonna be out there when it's time to play on Sunday."
Cook is in the midst of his best season as a pro and is proving the Bills made the right decision to sign him to an extension.
The former second-round pick has 867 rushing yards and seven touchdowns in eight games, and the former mark puts him on pace to shatter his previous career-high of 1,122 rushing yards.
Cook's passing-game usage remains frustrating, though, as the Bills regularly pull him off the field on passing downs. He has only been targeted 15 times, which he has turned into 13 catches for 100 yards.
Cook's lack of passing-game usage is nothing new, but it remains frustrating. Even still, he's more than making up for his lack of production as a pass-catcher with his monster rushing yards total.
