The Buffalo Bills managed to beat the Jacksonville Jaguars in the wild-card round, 27-24, to advance to the divisional round against the Denver Broncos.
But they have paid mightily for it.
First, we got confirmation that receiver Gabe Davis suffered a torn ACL. If that wasn't bad enough, we then got news that fellow receiver Tyrell Shavers also suffered a torn ACL.
But in Shavers' case, unlike Davis, who was ruled out for the game, Shavers continued playing.
Yes, you read that right.
The Athletic's Joe Buscaglia posted on X that Shavers tore his ACL in the first half, but played 22 of the Bills' 34 second-half snaps. That's wild.

Bills have WR crisis
Ideally, as the playoffs come into view and you begin playing, teams get healthier.
Buffalo is going the opposite way.
With Davis and Shavers now out for the year, the Bills' receiver room is depleted.
It leaves Brandin Cooks, Khalil Shakir and Keon Coleman as Josh Allen's top three receivers, plus tight ends Dalton Kincaid and Dawson Knox.
That isn't great heading into Mile High to face the Denver Broncos.
But let's go back to Shavers playing most of the second half with a torn ACL.
That's incredible, folks.
