The Buffalo Bills got a much-needed win over the Tampa Bay Buccaneers in Week 11 to get to 7-3 on the season. The win keeps the Bills within a game and a half of the New England Patriots for the AFC East lead, and also featured a potential breakout performance from a young wide receiver.

Tyrell Shavers led the Bills in receptions and yards (four catches, 90 yards) and hauled in a 43-yard touchdown that proved to be pivotal in Buffalo's win. Shavers was a guy many thought could make the 53-man roster in 2024, but just missed the cut and spent the year on the Bills' practice squad. He appeared in three games, catching one pass that turned into a 69-yard touchdown. This season, he earned a roster spot, and had the best day of his career against the Buccaneers.

The timing of Shavers' big day is noteworthy. The Bills made Keon Coleman a healthy scratch due to being late for a meeting on Friday, per Jordan Schultz, who confirmed the original report by Cover 1.

While the punishment wasn't based on performance, it's worth noting that Shavers had more yards and catches than Coleman has had in a game since Week 1. Coleman hasn't had more than four catches in a game since the opening contest, nor has he had north of 46 yards - Shavers practically doubled that yardage.

Going forward, don't be shocked if the Bills continue to give Shavers more snaps and opportunities, considering he provided a spark when given the chance.
