The Buffalo Bills have all the vibes on their side. They picked up a massive win on Sunday over the Kansas City Chiefs to make a serious statement on where they stand in the AFC.
The NFL trade deadline arrived Tuesday, with the Bills featuring multiple obvious needs and now with a chance to make a deal or two that could seize upon their momentum and continue moving forward.
And then, crickets.
The trades never came.
Not even a trade, singular, ever showed up.
It was one of the major surprises of Tuesday, and it lowered the mood in Western New York just a bit.

Did the Bills make a trade?
No, the Buffalo Bills didn't make a single trade on Tuesday before the 4 p.m. ET trade deadline.
Why did the Bills not make any trades?
The simple reason the Bills didn't make any trades surely has to do with cost. They must've not felt any of their desired targets were worth their asking prices.
It's a brutal outcome, though. The Bills had multiple clear needs.
Their wide receivers lately haven't gotten open enough, making WR an obvious pursuit. No new wideouts came, though. Jakobi Meyers went to the Jaguars, and Rashid Shaheed to the Seahawks, and that was that.
How about defensive tackle? The Bills are down three players at that spot, including Ed Oliver. But the interior defensive linemen that moved Tuesday, Quinnen Williams and Mazi Smith, were in the same trade between the Jets and Cowboys.
Pass rusher? Michael Hoecht is out for the season, but the Bills didn't add anyone there.
Even safety, which had gone out of rumors in recent days despite injuries, didn't get an add.
The Bills did absolutely nothing.
And in the end, that might not feel like close to enough.
