The Buffalo Bills made a somewhat surprising roster move when they released linebacker Baylon Spector, who had been with the team since being drafted in the seventh round of the 2022 NFL Draft. On top of that move, they have now brought in another linebacker.

Buffalo is signing former Army linebacker Jimmy Ciarlo. Ciarlo was with the Black Knights from 2020-23, appearing in 40 games and recording 119 tackles. He also had 10.5 tackles for loss in that span and was named a captain for the 2023 season.

Ciarlo was signed by the Jets in 2024, but spent the entirety of the year on the injured reserve list after a preseason injury.

The Bills' linebacker room is very deep, with Matt Milano and Terrel Bernard leading the way, as well as Dorian Williams and Joe Andreesen providing good depth behind them. Ciarlo will look to carve out a roster spot for himself in the preseason, which kicks off for the Bills on Saturday against the New York Giants.
