The Buffalo Bills continue to cut their roster down to 53 players ahead of their Week 1 matchup with the Baltimore Ravens. They made a notable cut by releasing veteran cornerback Dane Jackson just months after bringing him back to Buffalo. Now, they make yet another notable release.

Buffalo is releasing wide receiver KJ Hamler, who has been the star of this year's edition of Hard Knocks. The Penn State product is a former second-round pick of the Denver Broncos, catching 30 passes and three touchdowns as a rookie in Denver. The rest of his career after 2020 has been impacted by injuries.

He played in just three games in 2021 and seven games in 2022. He missed all of 2023 with an injury. In 2024, he competed for a roster spot with the Bills before spending the year on their practice squad. It would be safe to assume he has a practice squad spot locked up should he clear waivers and the Bills want to bring him back.
