Buffalo Bills at home in the snow in December? There's nothing as certain as this streak image

As Bills Mafia laid eyes on the snow-covered field at Highmark Stadium on Sunday, one thing became clear in a hurry:

This is what the Buffalo Bills are made for.

The opponent? Didn't really matter.

The Bills don't lose on this surface, in this month, in these conditions.

Buffalo hasn't lost a December home game since Tom Brady and the Buccaneers got the better of the Bills in December of 2021.

That's still true after a riveting Week 14 matchup with the Cincinnati Bengals, one the Bills won 39-34 after mounting a comeback and getting quite the show in the process.

There's something magical about a football game played in the snow.

And there, apparently, is something magical in general about the Bills playing in the snow.

Put those things together, and there's no better show in Western New York during holiday season than these Buffalo players shining in a winter wonderland.

The Bills provided plenty of plays that looked even cooler when played out on a snowy surface.

There was the Josh Allen 40-yard touchdown run, breaking through the left side, sprinting away from everyone, the longest TD run by a QB in Buffalo football history.

There was Christian Benford's pick-six, schooling Joe Burrow, snatching the ball out of midair and then racing more than half the field to paydirt himself.

Jackson Hawes made snow angels after a touchdown. Dawson Knox played his best game in a long time. Dalton Kincaid caught a touchdown in his first game back from injury. Yeah, these weather conditions were made for tight ends.

And really, this weather was made for the Bills.

Buffalo has a way of embodying its fanbase, a loyal support group that shovels itself out of driveways to be there each and every week to root on the Bills.

The snow kept falling in WNY as Sunday went on, but that was OK. The psyche of this part of the state doesn't depend on the snowfall. It depends on the Bills.

And when the Bills win, as they always do at home in December, everything feels just as it should be.
