After Buffalo Bills fans have been begging for the better part of a year and a half for Brandon Beane to make a worth-while move at wide receiver, the general manager of the Bills has listened and made a quality signing.
The Bills have signed wide receiver Brandin Cooks after he was released by the New Orleans Saints at his request and cleared waivers. Considering how poor the Bills' receiving corps is, turning over every stone and bringing in Cooks is certainly worth the signing.
Cooks has 60 career touchdown receptions in a career that began back in 2014. His best season came in 2015 in his first stint with the Saints, catching 84 passes for 1,138 yards and nine touchdowns. His 2024 was injury-plagued, but he did have a quality season in 2023 with the Dallas Cowboys, catching 54 passes for 657 yards and eight touchdowns.
It is unclear if Cooks will play on Sunday against the Pittsburgh Steelers, but considering that the Bills signed him to the active roster does bode well for his chances.
