The Buffalo Bills are gearing up for their Week 1 matchup against the Baltimore Ravens. However, they will be doing it without one of their defensive linemen. According to Jordan Schultz, DeWayne Carter suffered a season-ending injury.

"Bills DT DeWayne Carter tore his Achilles and will miss the entire 2025 season," Jordan Schultz reports. "The talented 2024 3rd-round pick was poised to be part of Buffalo’s defensive rotation this year. A tough blow."

The Bills drafted Carter in 2024 out of Duke. As a rookie, he appeared in 11 games, putting up 14 tackles and five tackles for loss.

Buffalo added multiple other pieces to their defensive line this offseason to make up a deeper rotation. The Bills signed Larry Ogunjobi and Michael Hoecht, who will both be out for the first six games of the year. This means 2025 draft picks T.J. Sanders and Deone Walker will need to step up and play pivotal roles early on.
