The Buffalo Bills continue to add to their defense with the addition of another player in the front seven, giving them more depth and more talent.
The Bills have agreed to terms on a one-year contract with former Carolina Panthers linebacker Shaq Thompson, the team announced. Thompson played for Sean McDermott in Carolina at the very beginning of his career while McDermott was the defensive coordinator in Carolina before taking the head coaching job with the Bills.
The Bills extended star linebacker Terrerl Bernard, and still have Matt Milano on the roster to act as their starting duo. On top of that, Dorian Williams has proven to be a valuable part of the rotation. Getting Thompson helps Buffalo avoid having to give reps to Baylon Spector.
In his 10 year career, Thompson has 12 sacks, 752 tackles, and 54 tackles for loss.
