The Buffalo Bills had a tremendous month of September, starting the season 4-0 and scoring 30 points in every game. With the month of September now behind us, the NFL has handed out their Player of the Month awards, and Bills running back James Cook was named AFC Offensive Player of the Month, per Jonathan Jones of CBS.
Through the first month of the season, Cook is second in the NFL in rushing and leads the league with five touchdown rushes while averaging 5.3 yards per carry. Additionally, Cook is second in the league with 10 runs of 10+ yards and second in rushing yards over expected, per Next Gen Stats.
Cook and the Bills will have their hands full on Sunday against a Patriots defense that is allowing the third-fewest rushing yards per game.
